Chapter 01

Tags and fobs that say what they open

A ring of unmarked keys is a guessing game. An engraved tag or fob fixes that in a way a marker never does, because the letters don't rub off in a pocket or a truck door.

Plates matter for key control. When a building has a lot of keys, a stamped label on each one tells the next person which door it belongs to and keeps the board honest.

Bring it in with your keys

Most people find out about engraving while they're already at the counter for something else: a key cut, a lock, a remote. That's the idea. Ask while you're here and the same visit covers both.

The shop is at 3402 W Washington Ave #118 in Yakima, open Monday to Thursday 8:00 to 4:30 and Friday 8:00 to 4:00.

Chapter 03

Call ahead with what you want on it

If you'd rather settle it before you drive over, call (509) 575-3631 and tell us what you want engraved and what it's going on. A tag, a fob or a plate each call for different wording, so it helps to know the exact text you want.

Keep it short. Initials, a unit number, a door name or a department read clearly at key size, and a long line of text has nowhere to go. If you're not sure what fits, that's a fair question to ask on the phone before you come in.
