Job description
Helping customers in person and on the phone, writing up service calls, using a Cash register and Quickbooks POS. Cutting keys accurately and learning some locksmith skills, and security lock sales.
What the work looks like
Behind the key wall
The shop is a walk-in counter in Unit 118 on West Washington Ave, and the job starts there. Customers come in with a key to copy, a lock to look at or a question about a door, and the phone rings with the same mix. You would be the person who greets them, writes up the service call, and rings the sale on the register and Quickbooks POS.
Cutting keys accurately is the daily skill, and it is the one the listing asks for first. Security lock sales sit next to it. The locksmith skills come after that: the opening says you will be learning some, working in a shop that has served the Yakima Valley since 1963. Read about the shop on the about page.
